GOLDEN GATE

Golden Gate otwarto 27 kwietnia 1937 roku. Kosztował 35 milionów dolarów.
Łączy San Francisco w północną Kalifornią. Dwie wieże o wysokości
227 metrów tworzą przęsło o długości 1280 metrów, podczas gdy cały
most ma długość 2824 metry. Rozpiętość mostu była ówczesnym
rekordem świata. Wrażenie robią liny ze stali niklowo-chromowej o średnicy
90 centymetrów.
